Arts Council England DYCP Grant Announcement

As an artist whose practice has historically been focussed in live events, the pandemic has been a huge issue in producing new work and reaching out to people who can no longer join together in a theatre, festival or cramped pub back room. Therefore, I am delighted to announce that I have been awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England. This grant will enable me to continue to experiment and develop my writing and performance specifically by giving me some much needed time to focus on it.

So what will I do with this extra time? Beginning from mid May, I will be working part time on a personal project I have had rattling around in my head for a while. I will be researching and experimenting with audio and soundscaping, and writing a script in order to create a storytelling-based audio drama, all to be produced under a mentorship with a fantastic professional practitioner. There will be scope, and budget, to work with artists, musicians and actors too and I'm so excited to get started. Towards the end of the project I will also be showcasing the resulting work during a live event, to which you are all invited!

More details will follow shortly, and as I work through my development time, I will keep you all updated with regular diaries here and via my weekly twitch streams.

Thank you all so much for all of your support and encouragement. I can't wait to see where this journey takes my practice.
